Eagle Scaffolding Services, Inc. furnished, erected, and dismantled site protection and structural support for the demolition of three adjoining buildings at 4023 Broadway in Washington Heights, working for PAR Environmental Corporation. The site will become a new hospital facility.

The scope covered site fencing, tree protection, systems scaffolding, and temporary shoring. The shoring was installed to support existing steel during active demolition, keeping surrounding structures stable as components came down. Work was sequenced in phases to maintain safe conditions throughout, and the project was completed in accordance with New York City Department of Buildings and Department of Parks requirements.

The 169th Street and Broadway corner presented coordination challenges including an active MTA subway entrance, which required custom header beam work and phased installation around MTA schedules. Eagle’s crew worked across multiple faces of the site simultaneously, including an alleyway bridge, a basement pit, and street-level shed installations on both 169th Street and 170th Street.
