Eagle Scaffolding Services, Inc. furnished, erected, and dismantled a sidewalk shed and temporary scaffolding roof system at the Hispanic Society of America Museum and Library in New York City, working for Westerman Construction Co. Inc. on a full roof replacement project.

The temporary roof system was engineered to fully protect the building’s interior during construction, a requirement that goes beyond standard weather protection on a typical job. The Hispanic Society houses one of the most significant collections of Spanish art and culture outside of Spain, and any water intrusion or environmental exposure during the roof replacement would have put irreplaceable works at risk. The scaffold system had to perform without interruption for the duration of the project.

The sidewalk shed provided pedestrian protection at street level while the roof work was underway above. Continuous monitoring throughout the project ensured the enclosure remained intact and the collections inside stayed protected from start to finish.
